Our Modular Moss Pole System is designed for climbing and vining houseplants that benefit from vertical support and a moist rooting surface. The unique L-shaped moss channel gives you room to pack the pole with sphagnum moss while leaving the plant-facing side open for aerial roots to grow directly into the moss.

Best of all, the system is modular. Start with the size your plant needs today, then add another pole and a separate extender connector as your plant grows taller.

How It Works

Fill the inside L-shaped channel with your preferred sphagnum moss or moss mixture. Once filled, wrap fishing line, plant wire, garden wire, or another suitable tie around the pole to help secure the moss in place.

Position the climbing stem against the moss-filled side and secure the plant as needed. As aerial roots develop, they can grow directly into the moss.

When your plant reaches the top, simply add another compatible pole section using an extender connector.
